Final event of the Inpactus Project

The Inpactus Project – Innovative Products and Technologies from Eucalyptus, aimed at strengthening the forest-based bioeconomy centered on eucalyptus forests and the paper industry, will conclude in October 2022. The promotion of a new generation of bioproducts, the creation of innovative and differentiated products, as well as the development of potential new businesses are some of the main contributions of the Inpactus Project in its 4 years and 9 months, during which it established a university-industry platform of excellence in the area of forest bioeconomy. In its four years and nine months, the quality of Inpactus' research and technological development materialized in more than 30 new patents, consolidating the leadership of the RAIZ Institute in the national register of industrial property. Among the multiple results of this project, the development of the high-yield pulp production process stands out, serving as the starting point for the new range of packaging papers.gKraf. Furthermore, it gave rise to new tissue products, already in the commercialization or pre-commercialization phase. In a biorefinery context, the results highlighted the great potential of innovative products from eucalyptus forests, ranging from bioactive products to new lignin and cellulose products.
