RAIZ employees are co-authors of Lignin Book and integrated process for high-value applications
Paula Pinto and Inês Mota, Research and Technological Development coworkers at Raiz are the co-authors of the book «An Integrated Approach for Added-Value Products from Lignocellulosic Biorefineries» in partnership with Alírio Rodrigues, Filomena Barreiro, Carina Costa and Isabel Fernandes.

This book has just been published internationally. It gathers 25 years of research developments and includes the work developed in two projects promoted by The Navigator Company and RAIZ: BioBlocks and Integrated Biorefinery in the Pulp and Paper Industry.

Paula Pinto, a chemistry PhD in Lignocellulosic Materials, by the University of Aveiro (2005), was a researcher at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto until 2016, when she joined RAIZ. Currently, Paula Pinto is the technological research coordinator activity in pulp, UWF paper, tissue paper and biorefinery areas. She is also responsible for the scientific issues of external funding projects involving RAIZ and The Navigator Company.

Inês Mota is a PhD in Chemical and Biological Engineering, at the Faculty of Engineering, University of Porto (2017). Inês Mota has been a research fellowship at RAIZ since 2017, and in inpactus Project since 2018, developing project management activities and tasks in lignin, deconstruction processes, material characterization and membrane separation areas.
